The beekeeper's dilemma
Opening a box costs the colony heat and calm, and costs you a drive up the mountain. BeeCloud answers the everyday questions first, so the visits you make are the ones that matter.
How it improves the work

Four ways a colony speaks

A hive that gains through the day is bringing in nectar. A flat line in the middle of a flow is worth a look.

A healthy brood nest stays remarkably stable, in the mid-thirties Celsius. Drift against that baseline is a question to ask.

Top and bottom of the box, separately. At altitude, in wet seasons, the difference tells you how the hive is handling moisture.

A colony has a voice. BeeCloud keeps its frequency bands over time, so a change in the hum is something you can see.
One screen, the whole apiary
Follow one hive through the week, overlay several to spot the odd one out, and get an alert when something moves past a limit you set.

Built for bad signal
Holds 64 readings in memory that survives deep sleep
A low-power node wakes, measures, sends and goes back to sleep. No network? It keeps the reading and tries again next cycle.
Keeps every message in a local database
A gateway collects the whole apiary over Wi-Fi and forwards it over 4G. When the link drops, it stores, then replays in order.
Replays are harmless: duplicates are ignored
Each reading lands once, however many times it arrives. If a stretch of data is missing, the platform notices and asks the gateway for it.

Three quarters of the world's leading food crops benefit from animal pollination.
